The History
For the past 25 years, Farla Church has been a beacon of spiritual guidance and blessings for the community under the care of Our Lady of Vailankanni. The church's journey began in 1992 with the dedicated efforts of Fr. Benedict Monteiro, SAC, a Pallottine Priest, who played a pivotal role in establishing the parish. After years of tireless work, Fr. Benedict succeeded in securing the approval from the Bishop of Mangalore, leading to the construction of the church and its official inauguration in 1994. Over the years, numerous parish priests have continued to serve and nurture the spiritual needs of the people in Farla, making it a vibrant and integral part of the Diocese of Mangalore. Read more
